- 5 / 5By Zachary ScottWife and I decided to take a road trip and drove 2.5 hours just to eat at The Cider House. We were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was very warm and inviting, and the burgers were cooked to perfection. The burgers literally just melt in your mouth. They definitely deserved the best burger award they won in 2015. The dessert was also really good, we had the ice cream with a bourbon sauce and salt and it was pretty delicious just be forewarned that the bourbon sauce is a little bit strong.
I also enjoyed their Iowa Strangler cider that is made in-house, it was very light and delicious.
All in all I'd strongly recommend The Cider House to anyone, and look forward to the next time my wife and I have time to drive down.August 25, 2016
